Patience is key when it comes to this making coins on FUT in Fifa 16. It will involve more than buying packs to make millions on coins every year. Knowing who and when to buy and sell is also helpful. Here below are some of the main points to remember if you want to make a million on FIFA Ultimate Team.

Knowing the Right Time to Buy

Good players will drop in place when Team of the Week comes out. In order to earn coins to buy the Team of the Week players, people tend to sell them desperately. Based on experience, this usually happens on Wednesday at about 5:00 to 6:00 pm UK time.

Sell any player worth more than 1,000 a month before Team of the Year and Team of the Season releases. Then as the market crashes, buy them back. Or since prices wil be at their lowest, buy the team that you have your eyes on.

According to experience, the best time to buy players is on a Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm UK time.

Buying Packs Doesn’t Help

You either need a lot of luck buying packs, or a lot of knowledge in the FUT market if you want to make money quick. So, have patience. You can make a lot of money if you are patient. Buy squads, and after playing with them every night or so, sell them. With a higher starting price than paid, put them up for 6 hours, or bid a little more. It's a bonus if they sell. If not, you still have them anyway. Doing that every night, you'd be surprised how much money you will make. Then buy other players or buy them back cheaper. Don't keep any player until you have lots of coins or be stuck on a favorite player.

Forget about buying packs. You will be wasting money this way as the probability of getting a very high value player is so slim. If you really want to, gamble if you already have lots of coins.

Research Well

Research on the player you want to deal in. By doing this, you can compare values and easily catch bargains. With general searches, at the time you are searching, you won't be able to work out the best prices. When searching on the player you are wanting to buy and sell, change the filters, as prices are always changing. Also, try searching without adding the position or club, as the FUT servers are always dodgy. A good practice is using 'league' and then 'defender-midfielder-forward'. Also, using full search criteria, some players will not show up.

Be aware of the 5-star skill players. By searching on that player only, see if you can find any of these at low prices. These will be cheap at the start of every FIFA lots. So for quick profits, just add a few hundred coins. Make sure you cover the 5% tax deduction and make a profit on top of total.

Silver players in the Championship or Brazilian will usually have pace and overall high stats. These are what you should search for.

In Form players who are promising to get upgrades in February should also be bought. Every year, new upgraded versions of cards are released by EA, automatically upgrading the In Form versions, although the normal cards stay the same.

Just before really big games, buy players. For example, just before the Champions league finals and after the game, Bundesliga players such as Neuer went up in value.

Tournament is a Good Period to Make Profit

Before the start and just after the finish of new tournaments are also good periods when buying players. For instance, a new 4,000 coin tournament that is only for silver players. To buy silver players quickly, people will start to sell their gold players. This way, value of popular premiership players drops too. This is the right time to buy premiership players and sell silver players for big profits. Soon, people will get rid of their silver players and will start buying Spanish, as the silver tournament closes and a new Spanish league tournament begins. This is the time to buy back the silver players at a much cheaper price. As soon as a 5-star 5,000 coin tournament starts, you can sell the premiership player as they go up in value.

Start looking for In Form players once you have a few hundred thousand coins. During the current Team of the Week release, the In Form players you bought the previous week are lower in price and will go up again a few days later.

Last Things to Remember

Also, remember that for every sale you make on UT, EA will take 5%. For example, if you buy a player for 100,000 coins, selling them for 105,000 coins is actually a loss as you only get 99,750 coins back.

Above all, just as above, have patience. Don't keep lowering a value just because a player doesn't sell straight away. Some types of players will always have a demand, sooner or later.

One of the most important things to remember when selling any player on Ultimate Team is the removal of 5% tax from the sale. For example, you get 1,900 coins when you sell a 2,000-coin player. The 5% tax is equivalent to the 100 coins that was taken away.

To trade, you can either buy packs by going to the store, or you can buy and sell players in the trading area. The virtual coins you earn in the game can be used to buy these. Although you can pay for packs using real money, you also have the option to buy using Microsoft points. 

Here below are some of the seasons when you can take advantage of a market crash where there is a drop in player prices:

Christmas

Since more people buy the game and Points on Xbox and PlayStation to buy packs during Christmas season, prices drop just before and on Christmas season. Players that bring the price down flood the market during these times. Ideally, before Christmas, you need to sell your expensive players.

Team of the Year Players

A Team of the Year for the real life players is being released by FIFA Pro every January. These same players are also being released by EA in a special blue colors, and FUT players go on a frenzy over them. Since people will try to buy them and buy more packs in an attempt to find them, it pushes prices of all other players down.

January Transfers

Players move clubs when the January transfer window opens around Europe. In the new club, new cards will be released. However, this doesn't happen until a week or two after the player signs when the new cards are released in batches.  For example, if Ba moves from Newcastle to Chelsea, a week or two after that, his Chelsea card is released. That way, the tendency is for Chelsea fans to get his Newcastle card since they don't want to be waiting for the new one. Usually, the demand for the player is lower from the old club who want to get rid of him than from the people at the new club. Some times though, the transfer will be to a new club that doesn't belong in Ultimate Team. Since no more will be released in packs, the price on his original cards will go quite high.

Upgraded Players

For players who have played well since the start of the season, new upgraded versions of their cards are released around the start of February. By that time, there will be two versions of the same player at the same club available on the market. For instance, there was a normal 86-rate and a new 88-rate version of Suarez released. The In Form version, which might have been released for a new player, is also affected. Generally, players will have had one or two Team of the Week cards before the new upgrades come out. For example, the 88-rated In Form Suarez is raised higher, making it different from the 88-rated new gold version.

Team of the Season Players

This is similar to the Team of Year players, except for the fact they come out at the end of a season, and not year. However, to confuse people, EA sometimes call them both Team of the Year. And cards also in the same colors. The Team of the Season starts to release every 1st week of May. When the market crashes to  its lowest point, you need to be aware of this. A month before it happens, sell your players when they are at their highest price.

Transferred Players

EA releases players for their new teams in mid-July. Players start to move clubs on May to July. Since people will try to sell existing players to get these new players in packs, the prices across Ultimate Team will drop to the lowest point during this time. For a few days, these new cards will be expensive, and then after about 2 weeks, will drop by 50%.
